    Shubman Gill, the 25-year-old right-handed batter, has been appointed as the new captain of the Indian men’s Test cricket team, succeeding Rohit Sharma. Gill becomes the 37th cricketer to hold the prestigious position. His captaincy debut will be against England in Leeds on June 20. Gill has played 32 Test matches, amassing 1893 runs with five centuries and seven half-centuries.
