    India's infrastructure sector growth slumped to a nine-month low in May, registering a mere 0.7% increase. This slowdown was primarily due to contractions in electricity, crude oil, natural gas, and fertiliser production. While steel and cement sectors showed positive growth, the overall core sector performance is expected to negatively impact the upcoming industrial production numbers.
