    Fema employees put on leave after dissent; agency accused of retaliation

    Fema has suspended around 30 employees after they signed an open letter to Congress, warning that the Trump administration's overhaul had crippled the agency's disaster response capabilities. The letter, dubbed the "Katrina Declaration," accused the administration of undermining FEMA by appointing unqualified leaders and stripping it of authority.
