    Rohit Yadav's personal best of 83.65m in the javelin at the Inter-State meet wasn't enough for direct World Athletics Championships qualification, but keeps his hopes alive. Sreeshankar Murali won the long jump (8.06m) but his chances for Tokyo look slim. Ankita Dhyani finished first in the 3000m steeplechase, but her ranking remains borderline for qualification.
