    Why will BCCI hold 40-min tribute before Women's Cricket World Cup opener?

    The Women's World Cup opening ceremony will feature a 40-minute tribute to Assamese cultural icon Zubeen Garg, who tragically passed away in Singapore at 52. Garg, scheduled to perform at the North East India Festival 2025, died after a scuba diving accident. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia announced the cricket fraternity's decision to honor Garg, acknowledging the immense grief in Assam.
