UAE: Remarkably preserved 7th-century Christian cross unearthed on Sir Bani Yas Island

A newly uncovered Christian cross on Sir Bani Yas Island sheds light on the UAE’s early Christian presence and enduring religious coexistence. Found during the first major excavation in over 30 years, the seventh- to eighth-century artefact reflects links to the Church of the East.
